History
RJN Motorsport operates from the heart of Motorsport Valley in the Oxfordshire countryside. The newly refurbished building has a 5000 sq ft workshop with full engineering facilities, general offices, and large design office and conference room. There is excellent security at the site with alarm system connections to the local Police.

The Company
RJN Motorsport was founded in 2000 by Bob Neville with the objective of building race cars for circuit and rally competition, for the preparation of race and rally cars and the design and development of race cars and parts.

2000
RJN built a Nissan Primera P11 for entry into the 24 Hours of Spa driven by Tommy Rustad, Chris Buncombe and Stephane Lemeret. The car then participated in the last four races of the British Touring Car Championship season with driver Bryce Wilson, best result third in the production category.

2001 - FIA European Super Production Touring Car Championship
This series was part of the EUROSPORT (later LG) Super Racing Weekend with 10 events in 10 different European countries and two FIA European titles: Drivers and Teams. Eurosport TV Channel provided live coverage of the events.

The Super Production Touring Car Category is based on the road models which have been produced in at least 2,500 units within 12 months. The FIA Super Production technical regulations allow these cars; saloon, coupe, hatchback, front or rear wheel drive with only normally aspirated engine, maximum displacement two litres, maximum 6 cylinders. The outer form of the bodywork must remain unchanged. Suspension modifications are permitted. All electronic driver aids such as ABS or traction Control are not allowed nor are sequential gear boxes. Minimum weight including driver; front wheel drive cars 1110kg, rear wheel drive cars 1140kg.
So that the running costs were reduced the engine and tyres were restricted. The engine should be used for two consecutive races. Tyres were limited to 12 new dry weather tyres and 4 used dry weather tyres for the two free practice sessions, the qualifying session and the race.

Norwegian driver Tommy Rustad was joined at the half way stage in the championship by Italian driver Simon de Luca in a second Nissan Primera Super Production Touring Car. This was Simon's first season in international motorsport and he competed well in the under 25 class.

The European Touring Car Championship 2001 ended with a final race in Estoril and with Tommy on pole it was looking very positive for RJN. Unfortunately there was a racing incident on the first corner which put an end to Tommy's hopes for victory in the Race. But the season was very successful and Tommy Finished third in the Drivers Championship, RJN Team came fourth in the Team Championship.
